The Bihar State Examination Board, also known as BSEB or Bihar Board, is located in Patna. The board was developed for carrying out secondary level examination in Bihar and its associate districts. It prescribes certain courses for the examinations held by this particular board. The Bihar Board conducts the Annual Secondary level School Examination.

BSED hold its annual Secondary School Examination in the month of February – March every year, while the Supplementary School Examination takes place in August-September. Additionally, BSEB also conducts some departmental examinations, such as the Diploma in Physical Education and Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination. The board follows the State Government guidelines.
