SC allows live band in Bangalore restaurants

The Karnataka High Court had upheld the ban till new rules are framed for carrying the business of live bands in Bangalore restaurants. The apex court said while granting licence for the performance of live bands in the restaurant, the police authorities have to ensure three conditions.

The State Government had contended that the order to ban live band was imposed as police had apprehended law and order problems and there were information that after the ban in Mumbai, dance girl were coming to Bangalore.
