Honda has finally launched the brand new edition of City in the Indian market.

Like all their recent launches, this new edition looks smashing hot.

The company is hoping to increase the sales of the City with this brand new model which now joins the recently updated Honda Accord.

This new City is essentially the third generation model from Honda in India.

Honda City is now priced between Rs 7.7 lakh and Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The company said that the car would be available in both manual and automatic transmission models.

The new Honda City model comes powered with a 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine.

Honda India also sells other models including Honda Civic and Honda CRV. They also sell the hybrid edition of Civic in the Indian market. Although Honda dominates the motorcycle market in India, the Japanese company doesn’t offer any models in India’s small-auto segment, which makes up the vast majority of car sales.

Honda India Growth

The company had a growth of 14% for the fiscal year of 2005-06 when compared to 2004-05, with total sales of 42,727 units in the domestic market. And they are aiming for a proposed growth of around 44% for the current fiscal year. So considering the fact that they have invested more than Rs 800 crores till now in India their growth result has been excellent.
