Solar Eclipse Live Online

Today at exactly 3:49pm it is said that the filipinos here at NCR will witness a partial solar eclipse. It will end at 5:51pm. This partial solar eclipse is expected to be the longest to occur since 1992.

A solar eclipse is a natural phenomenon where in the moon passes between the sun and earth. Partial solar eclipse occurs when only a part of the sun is covered by the moon.

It will be visible as a partial eclipse in much of Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia. It will be seen as annular within a narrow stretch of 300 km (190 mi) width across Central Africa, Maldives, South Kerala, South Tamil Nadu, North Sri Lanka, Burma and China.

The first annular solar eclipse 2010 occurs on 15 Jan 2010. This is supposed to be the longest of the third millennium (2000 – 3000). This will start around 11 A.M and ends around 3.00 P.M in India.
